$78,100 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits

Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range.  Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.

Position Summary

The position is responsible for the generation of written communications and graphic design development for digital platforms for internal and external audiences.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, create, and distribute engaging digital content internally and externally utilizing multiple platforms.
  • Develop an editorial calendar and manage content distribution on the internal platforms, including the intranet, email, signage, and digital billboards and all current social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, and Threads.
  • Build and implement social media and employee engagement programs that increase engagement and the cooperative’s mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives.
  • Write, design, and generate graphics and animations for digital platforms that follow PEC brandings and style.
  • Develop an understanding of PEC audiences for content development and responses both internally and externally.
  • Manage paid social media budget and recommend content for paid strategies.
  • Structure content for targeted audiences based on campaign needs and understand the logistics of targeting abilities of each platform.
  • Collaborate with team as well as stakeholders and leadership to generate content and ensure that strategic communications and marketing initiatives are consistently met.
  • Work closely with other departments to post power outage information and reply to member inquiries in a timely, courteous, and accurate manner, particularly during storms and emergencies.
  • Establish benchmarks and metrics for intranet, social media, and digital communication efforts and recommend strategies to extend the reach of those efforts.
  • Build relationships with internal experts and stakeholders to gather and share relevant information and updates.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Skilled in using Adobe Creative Suite for design, layout, and/or animation
  • Experience in digital marketing communications, writing, graphic design, and animation preferred
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
  • Knowledge of basic social media platforms and social media best practices
  • Knowledge of SharePoint administration
  • Ability to think creatively and support creative thinking in others
  • Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data, configuration, or processing information
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
  • Knowledge of content management systems
  • Skilled in translating corporate messaging for the appropriate audience
  • Skilled in planning, organizing, and prioritizing projects
  • Skilled in time management
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments to develop relevant and compelling messaging
  • Ability to work under deadlines, conduct multiple tasks and maintain effective working relationships

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Directly related experience may substitute for education
  • Three years experience working in Communications or Marketing
  • Valid Driver’s License
