Minimum starting pay for this position is $26.15 per hour or commensurate with experience


POSITION SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for managing all administrative tasks of Legal Services Department.



  • Draft standard routine contracts, pleadings, compliance, correspondence and other documents
  • Draft, prepare and format memoranda, correspondence and other legal documents
  • Edit and prepare correspondence and legal documents
  • Conduct independent research
  • Read and electronically proof documents
  • Assist with electronic presentations to wide variety of audiences
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, interviews, depositions and other meetings for attorneys
  • File pleadings or other legal documents with courts or regulatory entities
  • Support all aspects of the management of assigned legal matters and cases, including discovery, production, and document management
  • Maintain paper and electronic files, arranging depositions, correspondence and calendaring
  • Work closely with other legal staff for maintaining structured and comprehensive file indexes and case files
  • Handle legal administrative tasks
  • Respond to correspondence and subpoenas
  • Ensure the timely delivery of outgoing mails, messenger deliveries, overnight deliveries and facsimiles
  • Review, sort, and date stamping incoming materials and mail
  • Assist other legal staff and the Board Recording Secretary
  • Maintain strong public relations with clients and members





  • Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data, configuration, or processing information
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
  • Skilled in time management
  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze and resolve conflict and problems



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of related legal experience
