Position Summary

This position is responsible for the administration, management, planning, directing and coordinating PEC Board of Director’s projects and programs in support of the Cooperative’s strategic initiatives.

 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive relations with all levels of clients, including Board of Directors, Members, management and staff
  • Ensure that staff have a clear understanding of the Cooperative’s policies relating to Board relations and member elections
  • Maintain detailed understanding of compliance requirements, including regulations, corporate Bylaws, Tariff, and other corporate governing documents
  • Monitor completion of Board of Director information requests
  • Supervise the open records program and coordinate document production
  • Coordinating PEC’s elections, including Board of Directors, under direction of counsel
  • Oversee the planning and execution of the Annual Member Meeting
  • Oversee the preparation and review of Board and Board committee meeting materials such as agendas, corporate governance related materials, corporate resolutions, and meeting minutes
  • Ensure timely coordination and collection of Board meeting materials, information, and contacts
  • Develop, implement and review processes, procedures, policies and guidelines
  • Design, write, and edit publications for internal and external use
  • Provide analysis and reports related to performance of procedures
  • Prepare and deliver materials, reports, and presentations to the Board
  • Perform analysis and troubleshooting of issue reported by members or internal business units
  • Coordinate and ensure Board of Directors travel and attendance at trade association meetings and conferences
  • Attend all Board of Director meetings
  • Implement corporate and departmental policies, procedures and standards in conjunction with management
  • Teach and instruct employees in job duties and company policies or arrange for training to be provided
  • Evaluate employees' job performance and recommend appropriate personnel action
  • Prepare department budget under the direction of counsel
  • Recruit, instruct, and supervise subordinates
  • Develop and manage department budget
  • Recommend promotions, transfers, hires and other disciplinary action
  • Establish metrics and prepare monthly reports
  • Coordinate activities with other departments

Supervisory and/or Leadership Responsibilities

A full range of supervisory activities, training, evaluation, counseling and recommendation for termination. This includes, but is not limited to, effectively communicating organizational policies and other information to subordinates, ensuring that employees have a clear understanding of their responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensing)

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Directly related experience may substitute for education
  • Four years of directly related experience, including two years of supervisory experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
